S3 CFE Introducing Biology:
If you choose Biology you will be learning about life on the Earth – what goes on inside animals and plants to keep them alive and how they interact on the Earth. This course consists of three 12 week units, and a short project, which will build on what you learned in S1 and S2 and help those that are interested prepare for further study of Biology in S4.
Unit 1: Introduction to Cell Biology
What happens inside the tiny cells which make up our bodies, and the all other living things, which help to keep us alive?
Unit 2: Introduction to Multi-cellular Organisms
How do plants and animals control their bodies and behaviour to survive?
Unit 3: Introduction to Life on Earth
How is all life on the Earth interconnected, and what are the current threats to life on earth?
